Remote Patient Monitoring
Remote patient monitoring, also known as remote physiologic monitoring, uses digital technologies to monitor and capture medical and other health data from patients and electronically transmit this data to healthcare providers for evaluation and, if necessary, recommendations and instructions.
Remote patient monitoring devices communicate between patients and physicians through digital technology. At different times during the day, patients monitor themselves to gather data about their health and then electronically send secure data in messages to their doctors or technicians.
Global remote patient monitoring revenue is expected to reach USD 117.1 billion by 2025, up from USD 23.2 billion in 2020, a 38.2 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2020 and 2025.
