Digital Therapeutics

The Digital Therapeutics Alliance defines digital therapeutics (DTx) as solutions that “provide evidence-based treatments to patients through high-quality software applications to prevent, manage, or treat a medical condition or disease.”

Digital medicines can meet unmet patient demands that conventional treatments and cures have addressed. Additionally, digital therapies enable the extension of product life cycles, the differentiation of in-development goods, and filling any gaps in the market for conventional medication.

The worldwide digital therapeutics market was worth $2.88 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach $13.80 billion by 2027, growing at a 20.5 percent compound annual growth rate over the forecast period.
